The AVEN story

Meeting someone should feel like an introduction, not a catalog.

AVEN started with a simple frustration: dating apps had turned people into a catalog. We wanted something built for conversation, character, and the kind of connection that survives the first date.

The problem with endless swiping

Somewhere along the way, dating apps started looking like storefronts. People became cards to flick through, and the whole thing got engineered to keep you browsing instead of actually meeting anyone.

The result: swipe fatigue, dead-end chats, and connections that never get off the ground, because the next card is always one flick away.

The metaphor of the introduction

Two paths • One letter • One connection

There used to be an art to the introduction. Two people, each with their own life, brought together with a little context and a little care.

That’s what AVEN is reaching for. You’re not an item in a catalog. You’re a person on your own path. And when two paths look like they might fit, the introduction happens on purpose.

Our guiding principles

01 • Substance Over Speed

We’d rather you answer a prompt well than react fast. Personality first, reflexes later.

02 • Dignity in Discovery

A daily limit on the introductions you send, plus a curated Today’s Introductions page, because nobody does their best thinking on card number 400.

03 • Safety Without Surcharges

Safety isn’t a premium feature. Verification, location privacy, and reporting are being built as standard for everyone.

04 • Designed to Be Deleted

We count it as a win when you meet in real life, and an even bigger one when you delete the app because it worked.

Dating, with a little more intention.

For people who believe one good conversation beats fifty “heys”.
